GREAT FALLS – The Great Falls College Community Choir invites the public to come and enjoy an evening of music and food at the Soup, Salad and Song event on Thursday, Oct. 12.

The concert will feature members of the 80-voice college and community choir performing a wide range of music.

"The musical selections presented will include Broadway hits, jazz tunes and classical vocal literature," said choir director Cynthia Stevens. "There will be a wide variety of pieces performed by duos, trios, quartets and, of course, soloists."

The evening will also include a soup buffet with 10 different homemade soups, green salad and a variety of desserts, all made by members of the choir.

"I love this event because it gives everybody in the choir an opportunity to participate in some way and to show off their talents," Stevens said.

Funds raised will help offset the cost of the choir's trip to Italy in 2018 and expenses such as sheet music and performance attire.

The performance begins at 7 p.m. in Heritage Hall at Great Falls College MSU, 2100 16th Ave. S. Tickets are $25 per person. Tickets are available in advance and can be purchased from any choir member or by contacting Cynthia Stevens, choir director, at 406-771-2270 or cynthia.stevens@gfcmsu.edu.
